Camano Island & Stanwood, WA

2017 was another great year for the Camano Island Studio Tour. We had a great many wonderful visitors, many returning from past years and many new. At our studio we again exceded past years and had the largest number of visitors ever.

2018 is a special year for the Studio Tour as we celebrate 20 years. The first Camano Island Studio Tour was in 1998 and there has been a Studio Tour every year since.

Camano Island Pottery is celebrating 15 years on the Studio Tour. Over these years we have seen a continuing increase in the number of visitors, the amount of sales, and, I hope, a continuing improvement in the quality of the ceramic art. I do know that I enjoy the making more than ever. As in the past, I will be showing some new work with forms, textures, and glazes that haven't been seen before, as well as some old standbys tweaked with a fresher look.

For the third year Opal Cocke, a talented fabric artists who uses color in an exciting and emotional way, will again be displaying her colorful art this year. She will have some new, fun pieces that haven't been shown before. See some of her work at

Nick Seegert, nature photographer will return to the studio, so that you may see three artists at one stop, Studio number 14.
